Theo says he's not trading Schwarber, so I'm going to say it'll take Schwarber. BUT, there has been an undercurrent of information that the Yankees like Dan Vogelbach.

How are there so many cub fans?

Maybe now, but the guy did throw an 8 inning, like three hit, one run game in the World Series.
Should be a good series this weekend. Two of the best teams in the first half that sucked dick in the last 25 or so final games. Looking forward to it.

Many people grew up watching them on WGN.

The Yankees want Schwarber. I don't blame them, but I feel like the Cubs could get a guy like Ryan Dull, Ryan Buchter, etc for a lot, lot cheaper and still get good production.

Hamels has a poor record against AL teams--what you've seen in the last two games (allowed ten runs in 8 2/3 innings) is closer to his trend against AL teams than what somehow got him on the AL All-Star team.
What?!? Take away the two starts against Minny and Hamels has been lights out this year. He has given up 24 runs in 85 innings against the AL?!?!
quote:Possibly, but 19Ks and 5 ER over 15 2/3 after not throwing in a year makes it look like if the DL stint is precautionary as they say, then I'll pass on your obvious non-bias opinion.
And Darvish is the best example of why teams should NOT sign Japanese pitchers to long-term deals--after 2-3 years they break down physically
quote:Agreed, but he has shown in his career that he can be a serviceable starter.
Holland is at best a long reliever.

Sunday will be like the second time through the order vs Cole since they saw him last night.

This is how it happened for me. Houston was the closest to my home town, but I grew up watching WGN/TBS. I was watching them and the Braves since t-ball, but loved Ryne Sandberg.
Now I'm married to a chick from a suburb of Chicago, and she follows the Cubs daily. It's probably the only thing I like about her
