It's way early, but:

1. The Colts are a mess
2. The Texans' offense is broken without a QB and RB
3. The Titans aren't any better than the Jaguars anyway, and they will be wildly inconsistent with a rookie QB

What are the chances that they are in the mix after Thanksgiving? This looks like a division that could be won with between 7-9 wins today.

Gus Bradley is a disciple of Pete.

Carroll's greatness has been transmitted to him. South is fuct.

I'll have to see somebody in that division beat the colts head to head at least once before i can agree with you.

Indy draws Pittsburgh. Jax draws Baltimore.

Indy draws Denver. Jax draws San Diego.

Maybe Jax gets lucky and picks up at least another game on Indy in that tradeoff. That would give them 2 on Indy with the one they have right now.

they looked pretty good in the preseason, FWIW. they've got some guys coming back on defense in a couple weeks. Still not sure if they'll be around in November, but they're pointed in the right direction.

they have underwhelmed so far but they've also faced some of tougher defenses they'll see all year.

maybe there is more to it than that but its still too early to tell. They lost to a few good football teams.

I think the Jets are legit on defense. The two things that would concern me if I were a Colts fan is that the Jets offense manhandled them on defense in the 4th quarter when it counted. Overall, their rushing stats weren't good, but Ivory and Powell broke some big runs on them late when the Colts were desperate for stops and they knew the Jets were milking the clock. And we're not talking about the second coming of the Pony Express there. The second thing is that the Bills destroyed their offense for the first 40 minutes of that game, and then Tom Brady hung a 466-spot on them one week later.

Last year was much different, though. One loss was respectable--a one-possession loss at Mile High, and the other was an epic choke job vs. the Eagles when the Eagles were still good and Nick Foles was still healthy and riding the wave.

There are few, possibly no positives you can take out of this year's first two games. They look old and lost right now.

They lost to two good defenses and they should have a better running game this year. That O-Line is absolute garbage though and their secondary is in shambles.

Hope so....
Seems this Jags defense is more aggressive and I like aggressive defense. Plus, that young QB might be a decent one. Time will tell, but this Jag team gaining confidence in a down South, wouldn't hurt this growing team.

Well, they have the best QB in the division, so it's possible.

The Colts aren't great, but the Jags are still a year or two away from being true contenders.
