Kluber deserves to be in the conversation for sure. He's had an outstanding season.

He's now 6-1 with a 1.31 ERA in his last 8 starts

Including back to back 9 inning starts (one against Felix) with 0 earned runs. Pretty amazing!

Except he won't win the Cy Young

You dont know that. Is it really that impossible? I think he is still very much in the hunt. Its still way to early.

I think he is worthy if it wasn’t for the phenomenal year Felix was having. When you consider that Kluber plays in more of hitter’s park and in front of the terrible Indians defense that may close the gap some, but not enough. He would be my number 2 though.

On a per inning basis, Sale may be the best, but he is so far behind in IP.

Felix will be over 170 IP after tonight. I think Kluber will be hard-pressed to make up much ground with that much of the season over.

Richards is having a very nice year and has been similarly unheralded.

My vote:

1. Felix
2. Sale
3. Kluber
4. Kazmir
5. Richards

Relative to Felix, sure

But it's consistently well below-average in park and HR factors though; far from a hitter's park

Kluber has beaten both head to head.

Imagine if Felix could pitch against this Mariners lineup.

Yeah, I was strictly talking about in relation to Felix. Sale is the one where the park makes his numbers truly impressive.

Might as well throw in a Perfect game and 16 SO for King tonight.

As of right now:

Kluber 165.2 innings
Felix 165.1 innings

Kluber is right with Felix. Not quite sure what you mean?

He's significantly behind in a number of statistical categories; they both have so many innings pitched that it'll be hard for Kluber to make up enough ground in those categories to win the CY.

Felix 165.1

WHIP

Kluber's stats are right there with Felix. Felix isnt guaranteed the Cy Young at this point. Is he the favorite, sure, but there is a long way to go. Again, my point of this thread is that Kluber is right there in the discussion. People should start taking notice. It amazes me he didnt make the All Star Game.

Those stats aren't right there with each other. Kluber is having an amazing season but try to have some perspective.

Felix is at the top right now, but Kluber throwing a complete game shutout with only 75 pitches (16 balls) was the most amazing Statline I think I have seen all year.

Lets just pretend the numbers are a wash at the end of the year. Felix and Sale have name recognition. Felix is on a contender right now. As much as I like what Kluber brings to the table he's third of the trio right now.

This thread has made me mad the tribe didnt resign Kazmir. Would be a legit playoff team with him.
