another meh week 8-9-1. I'm just going to stick with NFL. Never have I thought that NFL is more enjoyable than college FB.

Early lines I took:

SMU +23 vs TCU
Utah -1.5 vs USC
Louisville -24 @ Marshall
Stanford -3 @ UCLA

Added:

Nebraska - 6.5 @ Northwestern
Memphis -16 vs Bowling Green

I'd say a pretty good week. 5-1

Golden nugget, 3-0 when our teams matched. 10-1 on the season. Let's keep it up.

Anyone else ever notice any shadiness with their sportsbook(s)? A while back I placed a bet on 5Dimes where I knew the line was set backwards. It wasn't a huge error, like +170 instead of -170. As expected, they caught the error and refunded the bet. But, the catch was that they waited until the game was over (presumably to see the outcome) before refunding it. I didn't make a huge deal out of it, other than making sure that I never deposited more money there.

Fast forward to yesterday, and they had a line up for who Corso would pick on Gameday. It was UT +1450 and Fla -3000 or so. Obviously this couldn't have been right unless Corso picks the dog every week. So I put $10 on UT as a test to see how they would handle it. Well, for whatever reason, Corso did pick Florida. Sure enough, I checked my account and they counted it as a loss. I'm fairly confident that had Corso picked UT, they would have cancelled the bet.

I'm fully aware that we basically have no rights when dealing with offshore books. I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed borderline shady practices.

Just speculating that they may have. I have no way of knowing. Next time I see an error, I'll post it and maybe someone else can bet the other side for a tiny amount.

When they make a mistake, you will never cash that bet. If it wins its cancelled. They all do it. It sucks but "Way she goes boys! Way she goes!"

It's a hell of a business. They make 10% on straight bets, more than 10% on parlays/teasers/futures, and they can basically make their own rules.

And we still play

Parlays and teasers are sucker bets. Basically a lottery. Usually you never need the points if the teaser wins. I know in the NFL you seldom do, maybe college is different.

College is even worse than NFL for teasers.

Has anyone here gotten so on a roll on 5d/other offshore sites to the extent they wouldn't pay you/your account got shut down etc?

Definitely not me, but I have heard/read about people having their action limited. I can't imagine they would go as far as blocking withdrawals for winning too much, but it wouldn't totally surprise me.

11-11-1 in college

Early games killed me going 2-7

Cal had the game covered just had to stop ARI ST on the kickoff. They let them run it back for a TD.

No excuses. I suck.

I've gone from 6 to 53 units in 4 weeks, mostly through aggressive, undisciplined bet size, in-game betting. Not a big $$ account or anything, but I'm concerned if I try to start taking it out now there will be issues.

Can you say which book?

You could withdraw in increments, but if it's a couple hundred or less at a time, the fees will probably eat you up.

Honestly I don't think you would have a problem. But I would do a little googling before taking my word for it.
