Especially when they're stacked up.

When circumstances at the margins indicate that teams are comparable, then the following criteria must be considered: ? Championships won ? Strength of schedule ? Head-to-head competition (if it occurred) ? Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory)

1. Alabama (Lock)
2. Ohio State (Lock)
3. Clemson (If they win)
4. Penn State/Washington

Wisconsin will not get in if Washington and Clemson both win.

On the Contrary, if Penn St wins, I think they get in over Washington if both of them win

If Ohio State gets in it's because they are Ohio State.

They were Ohio State last year and didn't get in.

They have the best resume in the country. That's why they'll get in.

or because they beat Wisconsin and Michigan and they are 11-1, although not much better than Wisconsin or Michigan, but Wisconsin and Michigan are pretty good.
Wisconsin squeaked by LSU back when they had LF7 in peak condition.

Who else you nominating from other conferences?
a 2 loss Big 12 team? 3 loss Southern Cal. I don't think so.

No way a 2 loss conference champ should get in over a 1 loss conference champ

In 2011 1-loss Alabama got in over 1-loss Oklahoma State. If the SEC runner up had been Vanderbilt or Mississippi State, and the Big 12 champ had been Texas or OU, no way the SEC gets in. So yes, some teams get in based on name only. There is precedent.

100% true, there is so much bias ingrained towards certain programs by the media. If you swapped out USC and Washington right now, there is NO WAY IN HELL USC gets left out this year at 12-1 as a Pac-12 Champion.

Ole Miss beat Alabama, right? VT beat Ohio State, right? A&M beat Alabama, right? Ole Miss beat Florida, right? Kentucky and Arkansas beat LSU, right?

Not one team in history has ever "gotten in" on name only. Not one.

A lot of people seem to think OSU has no shite because of the conference championship angle. Ryen russilo is a no bullshitter and he said one of the formers of the playoffs said there is no chance a non champion ever makes it

We will finally get to see if that is true or not. If OSU doesn't make it, it is proof it will never happen

Look man, maybe y'all get in. But there is a good chance you don't. And as much as you will complain it won't be an injustice either way

There's a better chance that we do.

I won't complain one bit. Certainly nowhere near as much as everyone else will if we do get in.

I'm fine either way. I think they deserve it

But I do have a feeling with the playoffs were created, the members did it mainly to be for conference champs.
