they should just start the poll at 3 and let nobody be ranked 1 or 2.

Wasn't Memphis ranked 25 at beginning of the year?

tOSU and Michigan State too high, Utah too low.

Why do we do these polls before week 6 anyway...and why the hell do Coach's votes matter? they don't watch these games.

There's an argument to be had if you are downplaying tOSU you should downplay LSU

As who have both really beat?

I would hate to be on the committee this year.

interesting grouping- #12 is undefeated, #13 lost to #12 but beat #10, and #11 hasn't played anyone.

Why does everyone continue to pump up Utah, but ignore Northwestern? I'd be fine with replacing Ohio State and Michigan State with Northwestern and Utah.

Because they beat Duke and Utah beat Oregon

Even though Northwestern beat Stanford it's somehow diminished. I believe Northwestern has beaten most P5 teams this year.

Meh, they'll just have to decide which P5 champion to leave out.

It won't be easy this year because I do not think the SEC Champ a 1 loss team.

The PAC12 if 1 loss is it better than a 2 loss SEC team?

Is a 1 loss ACC team better than the non champ of Big 12?

That's why I'd hate to be on it

I guess your definition of best team also is what matters.

Outside of their losses to Northwestern, their P5 opponents (Stanford, Duke, Minnesota) are a combined 11-1 (one loss to #2 TCU by 6). I think Northwestern will trip up at some point, but if we want to argue for Utah, Northwestern should be included.
