Won't have to worry about trash on the field next week. Only the old guard and player's parents at the game against San Jose St.

I think everyone is sick of the marketing, over hype, LHN and "Texas Pride" and just wants a decent team that doesn't get run at home by Maryland at this point.

Texas will be fine. As mentioned by someone earlier, his 2018 recruiting class is one of the top ones. His system is so different, it will take time to establish. Texas defense is what needs to improve and people need to remember, I believe Saban went 6-6 in his first year at Bama.

In the previous season, before going 6-6 at Bama, did Saban have the most talented team in his conference and finish in 6th place?

People are freaking because Texas has more talent than Maryland and it was a home game. I think he had his 2nd best game out of his last eight. The win over Louisville being the 1st best.

Last year he lost to teams with less talent than his - Navy, SMU and Memphis. SMU was a 23 point dog to Houston. SMU won by 22 points while Herman's potent offense gained a total of 303 yards. In a win against Tulane his offense had 287 total yards.

He coaches on the offensive side of the ball?

Anyway, unlike SMU who was a 23 point dog and beat Herman's team by 22. Maryland was an 18.5 point dog and only beat Herman by 10. That's an improvement is it not???

I fully expected some growing pains for the transition. That said, I didn't think we'd lose to Maryland.

The defense, if you can call it that, is the most concerning. We don't have much talent there, but I thought they could coach them up. Maryland isn't world beaters as well...I'm tired of not fielding a defense worth a damn.
Texas used to field stout defenses. I haven't seen one since 09.

That can change real fast if he can't get better games than what we saw yesterday.

The only problem I have with this is people already comparing Herman to Saban. "saban went 6-6 his first year" yada, yada, yada.

There have been a lot more hyped college coaches flame out then coaches who became Saban. Stop comparing Herman to Saban until he proves something.

The penalty's, the lack of toughness, the lack of run game, the questionable decision making all fall on Herman. Mr. Details didn't have his team ready in all the detail categories yesterday.

Looks like the only way a Herman offense can run the ball is with a mobile qb, he doesn't have that and he couldn't adjust.

Herman does have a problem. He needs a tough team and Texas is a team full of guys that think they are princes. They don't have a tough one in the bunch.

I do think Herman will make Texas better, but dont mention him and Saban in the same breath at this point.
