That broadcasting duo is overrated.

Fowler is really bad at play-by-play.

He was a great host of gameday. Idk why they decided to make him their primetime guy.

Couldn't agree more. He's not a natural at all.

Yeah, I don't think you can chalk it up to "confusion." Oh, and has anyone else noticed Herbie's appearance? He don't look so good.

He is by far the best play by play for ESPN.

McDonough is lightyears better than Fowler.

Herbie dick licking Alabama so as to not show his bucknut passion. Fowler didn't seem as animated when he first started pbp, now just seems a little over the top. ESPN needs to revamp their college game announcers.

That's because you're stuck with him watching Texas and think he's good

For baseball? Yes. College football? I'll pass. I agree on Blackledge though.

it's been all down hill since the glory days of the ESPN night game with Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried in the booth with Adrian Karsten on the sidelines.

He also said that we were watching the ‘national semifinal’. He corrected himself on that one, too.

He's getting over Covid-19 and the shame that he was born white. Dude went full on SJW after the Jacob Blake incident. He lost his manhood in a single rant.

Without a doubt. I was done with him when, during the 04 Rose Bowl, he said “Sunday night, LSU and Oklahoma will play for the computer championship.”

frick outta here with that shite. USC agreed to the same rules as everyone else.

ESPN has no excuses. Nickelodeon was able to have a better broadcast with a 15 year old girl who had never even watched football before.

Absolutely. He has been for a long time, with very little credit, imo.

I think he did it on Najee Harris's TD reception as well, which was his second TD.

It was a bad call for him last night for sure. As others have pointed out though, the level of talent of PBP guys everywhere just isn’t what it used to be.

Brad Kessler and Todd Blackledge were the cream of the crop for college football before that crew broke up. I immensely enjoyed watching them call (mostly) SEC games on ESPN's Saturday night telecasts.

Long live "Todd's Taste of the Town."

I also miss Ron Franklin as well.
