The NBA is full of shite like most of the comments on here. You wanna fine someone over something that's considered part of the game.

well, if it's considered illegal change the rule then.
what exactly is the current rule? to me it seems that fining people for it makes it illegal which is itself a rule change.

Flopping" is defined as any physical act that appears to have been intended to cause the referees to call a foul on another player. The primary factor in determining whether a player committed a flop is whether his physical reaction to contact with another player is inconsistent with what would reasonably be expected given the force or direction of the contact.

The NBA's anti-flopping rule, adopted at the beginning of the 2012-13 season, had 24 violations during the 2012-13 regular season. Fourteen players received warnings while five players received a $5,000 fine for violating the anti-flopping rule twice.

Physical acts that constitute legitimate basketball plays (such as moving to a spot in order to draw an offensive foul) and minor physical reactions to contact are not deemed to be flops.

Any player who is determined to have committed a flop during the 2013 Playoffs will be subject to the following:

Violation 1: $5,000 fine

Violation 2: $10,000 fine

Violation 3: $15,000 fine

Violation 4: $30,000 fine

If a player violates the anti-flopping rule five times or more, he will be subject to discipline that is reasonable under the circumstances, including an increased fine and/or suspension.

I'm whining?? Don't think so. Simply stating my case that this has been part of the game for awhile, whatever bullshite the NBA is sellin now about it being illegal is just that bullshite. It's not like someone is attempting to hurt someone, they are just selllin a supposed foul in favor of their team or to get a call in favor of their team. End of story.

and all that shite is unneccessary, Just bureacracy crap made up by the NBA to support their agenda. Like I said this has been going on and now all of a sudden it's illegal. Yeah, okay.

you seem to be confused as to what I said in reference to your question. I don't get what's funny??

My question : what good would an appeal do?
Your answer : keep money in his pocket
Me: why are you assuming he'd win the appeal?
You: I'm not.

What?

they are attempting to make the refs job even more difficult than it already is. refs should be focused on what exactly is going on in the game not having to worry about making judgment calls on whether players are attempting to fool them.

flopping should not be part of the game

Shove the sudden rules change up your arse. No one is whining or bitching. You clowns are blowin stuff out of proportion as usual. I simply stated my case as to why all of sudden they wanna change the rules and that it's bullshite. The end.
