Trevor Cahill goes to the DL, retroactively. Clayton Richard is activated in his place. Also, David Ross clears the concussion protocol and has been activated off the 7-day DL, Kawasaki optioned to Iowa.
The Cubs have a couple reclamation projects in AAA right now, lefthander Brian Matusz (former BAL prospect) and former closer for the Rangers and Twins, Joe Nathan. Both have been pitching very well and could be joining the Cubs bullpen within weeks.

I read on Bleacher Nation that Dex is with the team and will likely head out on a rehab assignment next week.
That's too long, Dex. Come on back. And no real word yet on Soler, either. If the Cubs can't count on him coming back, I wonder if they will try to make another trade with the A's and bring over Doolittle and Reddick.

Yeah they suck. Not that I would always want to watch the Rockies, but sometimes they are the only late game vs the West Coast teams and I can't watch. I'm usually at Coors when the Cubs go to Denver though.
