Extremely shitty point.

Duke is above average for sure. Last year and this year. If you are banking on them to be in the same situation down the road I don't believe it.

So beating them by 7 is equivalent to beating them by 28?
I'm of that opinion, yes. I like the idea of wins and losses, and not margin of victory, which I see as superficial at best, being the sole factor in a rating system. Besides, beating a team 7-0 is way better than beating them 82-54, and anyone who disagrees with me is admitting to the world that he has no testicles.

So OSU beating Penn St in double OT is the same as hanging 50 on them?

I don't believe that.

I hate to play the "if" game... but if TCU beats WVU by more than Alabama...and the Purple Wizard by more than Auburn... Say hello to your shiny new testicles.

The weakest TCU has had in a LONG while. Like I said - Back when y'all were still in the Big East - We had Oklahoma scheduled for this year as well.

Who does WVU have coming up OOC? Not being an arse... you know they are my third team....

Next year is a joke but after that we have VT, Tenn, NC State, BYU in the next few years. The Penn State by the time im 40.

Home/home with LSU got switched to the single game in Jerry world for the Frogs.

Before that - Was hard to get quality OOC. Wasn't worth enough if somebody won... really bad if they lost.

ETA:

Arkansas, Ohio State and Cal are our next 6 years.

So glad WVU is getting Penn State game back. I grew up watching Major Harris.

No they don't. If WVU wins out they win the league.

You have 10 teams bolded who 'control their own destiny' with the possibility of 6 of them winning out. There are 4 spots. If Auburn, Miss St., FSU, MSU, Oregon and TCU/Kansas St all win out and 2 get left out how do they control their own destiny?

TCU and KansasSt play each other

However, only the:
SEC winner
FSU and
Oregon

....control their own destiny.

The BIG and Big12 obviously can not both control their own destiny - its a mathematic impossibility

Obviously TCU and Kansas St play each other and thus a slash. But Auburn and Miss St. Have already played. Mich St and Oregon have already played. That leaves FSU and the winner of the TCU/KState game. There's 6 teams who 'control their own destiny' in a 4 spot race.

Just TCU/Kansas St - next week, so yeah. OPs post is patently wrong. And every other one he has made on the same topic has been inaccurate as well

A "conference championship" in and of itself should have no value. Judge teams by who they play and beat.

That's what is good with the Big 12, you play every team in your conference so there is no doubt.

Schools in bold control their own destiny. That is to say that there does not exist a scenario that has an individual team in bold winning out and being excluded from the playoff.

Technically this is true. There's not one single scenario but several different scenarios.

That list ain't right. If MSU, FSU, AUB, and ORE all win out, they're in and there's nothing that TCU, Mich ST, or K St can do about that.
