Iowa returns a legit top 3 defense and has upgraded on offense with the transfer portal. 7 offensive transfers in the 2 deeps. Cade McNamara at QB with the TE combo of Lachey and All.
Iowa's offense last year was pathetically terrible. This offense only has to be mildly competent when paired with this defense.

Iowa got a qb transfer from Michigan. The defense was good last year, the offense was non existent. The transfers on the O side of the ball should change that.

Carolina has a QB but zero defense. Iowa has zero offense. I think Tulane was a flash in the pan last year, A&M cratered as bad or worse than OU or Wisky, and Ole Miss because Kiffin coaches like a bored 12 yr old playing X-Box.
I'm not saying either team would be 5-0 guaranteed, but those last 5 aren't murderer's row.
