They have no flexibility to sign guys and JR and TT are on contracts that no one wants. The only possible moves I can see are trading bench players for Melo if Phil is just looking to dump Melo and LeBron convinces Melo to waive his no trade clause. Shumpert, Frye, and a couple of the 1 million ish guys on the end of the bench get that done.

Then Cleveland can look to deal Love for defensive help at the 2 guard or C positions. Love for Horford and possibly even Crowder? Does Boston say yes with how bad they are at PF spot with Amir Johnson? Celtics can start Olynyk.

Kyrie, JR, LeBron, Melo, Horford with Crowder and TT off the bench. Every guy in the starting lineup can shoot threes.

I'd rather have Love than Melo straight up, but the combination of getting Melo for role players and dealing Love for help at the C and wing positions could make the team better.

Should've dealt Love for Cousins this past winter. I don't know why they didn't even try.

Maybe that deal can still happen. Love would be closer to what he was in Minnesota next to a true center.

Kings would've done it considering the garbage they got back from NO.

1.Fire Lebron as GM or make him buy out Smith/Thompson's deal
2.Hire a real coach

he meant they messed up by not getting him from Sacramento.

I'd keep JR as a 6th man. look to deal love, and thompson if possible. get rid of the entire bench; korver, shumpert, RJ, williams are absolutely worthless.

If they are going to keep JR as a starter, they need to add a great 6th man, like a lou williams. i dont think love is their biggest problem, it's the bench. the difference in last night's game was iguodala, look at his production vs. the cleveland bench.

If you get rid of RJ then who's going to follow Durant around bear hugging him off screens next year?

Wouldn't mind someone a little lengthier.

You can thank Lebron for that. All of this team's "problems" are his own doing.

Lebron as GM has gotten them 3 straight finals appearances and 1 title.

i do not understand the people who criticize the roster moves, considering the success they have had as a team

The Celtics seem to be a good trade partner for Love, but why would they help the Cavs out? It's not like the Celtics are scratching and clawing just to make the playoffs. They want to win the east and they know they have to go through Cleveland. I don't see them giving the Cavs any real assets for Love. Jae Crowder + Avery Bradley seems like a great deal for Love from the Cavs perspective. I just don't see the Celtics doing that.

Love is a fine player, but I think you can possibly replace his production in bits and pieces.

Perhaps Love/Korver to Denver for Faried/Chandler?

You're kinda in a hole if you're relying on a bunch of vet minimums to give you much.

There are no problems with the team. They also don't win title last season without Thompson, so there's that.

GS is the GOAT team. And there's nothing we can look back upon that would change anything from the Cavs perspective.

Love for Blake Griffin straight up would be an improvement and it makes sense for both teams. Don't think it's good enough to beat GS though.

Why not Love and Korver's expiring contract for Cousins and Asik, especially if you think Cousins will walk?

Because they won and Love's sins were forgotten. Also, Cousins' game doesn't really compliment what the Cavs do.

Also, the Cavs roster was done two years before. There was no way to know that the Warriors could turn Barnes into Durant. That was an amazing stroke.
