As a former collegiate player, I'd say negative.

PGA tour is another level.

Between the TV cameras, galleries, and course setups, its much different than your 8:00 tee time at the local country club.

It's naive for people to think otherwise. Most people's hands would be shaking so much on the first tee, they'd be lucky to make contact.

No we're talking playing him tips and down at your home course. You know, the round where he would probably set the course record

do you think you could beat him in a round of golf?

This is easily one of the worst threads I've ever seen on here.

The only thing worse is "Could Alabama beat the Jaguars" or some shite like that.

Actually, this might be worse.

I can't be myself out of a wet paper bag with or without a golf club so no. Not really many people in the world I could beat but I do have fun.

Before the Masters, Tiger reportedly shot a 66 worst ball (i.e., he played 2 balls and had to take the worst result, had to make each birdie putt twice, etc) at his home course. That should give everyone an idea of how bad they'd lose to Tiger.

Tiger struggles on arguably the toughest course of the year, and a bunch of amateurs talk about hanging with him playing the ball down from the "tips"

He's playing a 7800 yd course. Just think about that.

Stay golden MSB

This has to be a good troll topic started. People can't be this clueless.
No one on this board would shoot under a 90 at that course in those conditions. And maybe 1 or 2 would squeak under 100.
Average 80 golfer would shoot over 110 there without a doubt.

Stop it guys. Tiger can give anybody known a stroke a hole and still win. Idiotic thread

I would lay money down that 5 posters could slide in under 100.

We have some good golfers on his board - some lurk more than post. Hell, you have at least one that has played a recent major.

Scott Stallings is a buddy of mine and he's a member on this board, but he has less than 100 posts.

Obviously he could beat him.

I am currently a scratcher golfer. I play my best under pressure and thrive on crowds and cameras all around. Right now, I am certain I would beat Tiger under any format but badly in match play. I am probably a top 5 in the world golfer but can't stand what pro sports has become so I just play at my CC.

Sure. It would be tough but I'm fairly confident.

Ever since he went off the PEDs he's dropped maybe twenty or so pounds of muscle. I'd say I've got a good sixty or seventy pounds on him and quite a bit of reach.

I'd probably stick with the jab to try and set up the overhand right but if he's too fast on his feet I'd close the distance and grapple with him.

Wait... you mean in golf? Nah, he'd kick my arse. Maybe if he was blindfolded.

And drunk. I like my chances to keep it competitive then.
