Can you beat Tiger Woods?

Name your course, playing from the tips. Tiger's game is complete dog shite, do you think you could beat him in a round of golf? if not how close do you think you can get to it?

I would bet that fewer than 3 people on this board could. I know there are some extremely good golfers on here so they might contend, but most regular folks wouldn't stand a chance. Tiger just shot an 80 and it was considered DREADFUL. One of the worst days of his professional career and he was still better than most average joe players will ever shoot. Also keep in mind he's playing in a major, on a tough/shitty course, with everyone criticizing his every shot.
If it was just him and random poster out on some random course without the media watching, Tiger would beat 99.99% of everyone on this board, if not everyone on this board.

Hell I could play from the ladies tees and he'd still beat me. He may be sucking on tour but in a casual round he'd destroy us. They say he plays well in practice rounds and hits it fine on the range but when the shite is for real his brain gets in the way.

Despite the fact that I golf a lot, I can't say I watch much golf (outside of major championships), but aren't most of the major courses in PGA events altered?
If I took Tiger to a course that I play a lot, he would annihilate me. Wouldn't be close.

Nobody here could sniff him, unless there are some lurkers that we don't know of. I would say threeputt would have the best shot if he didn't eat the buffet before teeing off.

no shot. I realize Tiger is playing horrible but I dont think you realize it's still really really good compared to your regular golfer.

A good round for me is 80 on a local track relaxed and drinking beer with the fellas. He just shot that on 7,500 yard US Open set up course playing against the best golfers on the planet. I think the answer here is not no but frick no I couldn't beat Tiger Woods. However, I would out drive him multiple times. My smash is uncontainable.

In my prime in college I was a solid scratch. I could've maybe beat him on a given round playing my best and him not playing his best...but not over a span of a 4-day tournament.

The only way anyone on this board wins is if he puts a gun to Tiger's head as he is getting ready to tee off on the 18th and telling him he gets a bullet in the brain if he doesn't forfeit.

For the most part though those are the top ranked amateurs in the world who play, or are going to play at prestigious colleges. I think i could come close to him if I wasn't playing with the nerves and pressure of a tournament, but he was (I'd also have to play really well). But if we were both playing in a tournament, or both playing a regular round of golf he would beat me like a drum.
