Can a blowout in football still be a "good game?"

I see a lot of people saying there were no good games in bowl season until the TCU/Oregon game. Is it possible that a 45-28ish game in which both teams execute well can be considered good or does there have to be fourth quarter drama for it to be a good game? As an example, was a game like ND/OSU yesterday a good game or was it not because the outcome was never really in question?

And by the same token, can a triple OT game be considered a "bad game" if both teams played like crap?

It's the same thing come NCAA basketball tourney time. The two teams can be playing at a JV high school level, but if there's a buzzer beater winner, it's considered a good game.

A "good game" for someone not invested in either team, is one with high drama. So 3 OTs is the best kind of game.

It's one thing that I find funny about American sports. The only really start in the 4th. It's why I love soccer. A first half score is much more significant.

They can be fun to watch and in that essence a good game.. I enjoyed watching Arkansas slam the ball in the second half today even though the game wasn't a particular "good" game as that term usually revolves around competitiveness.

I thought the LSU-Tech game was a pretty good game. It was a blowout but Texas Tech was still fun to watch when they had the ball

I enjoyed watching some of the creative and well executed plays even in blowouts.

One offense had the QB go to the line like he was audibling a change in the play, and they direct snapped to the RB while QB was calling the "change". Looked awesome. More impressive, the defense was not fooled and shut it down.
