cam has thrown more accurately for a higher ypa

he's also run more efficiently

TDs are something you can't just force

the better argument is the lower INT/attempt, because that is something TT controls himself moreso than TDs

I really don't think Cam Newton is better than Charlie Ward or Troy Smith

that is a very small difference. Hardly worth noting.

The rest I agree with.

But I still think that more yards combined with more TD's makes that the better season.

What would Tebow's season have looked like had he sat in JC for a year or 2, and then come in as the full-time starter?

Nobody would have film of him to gameplan with. . .

TT playing FB in 2006 really gave a lot of game film on his QB skills for 2007

I agree.

Smith was one of the worst Heisman winners ever.

D-Mac was robbed.

The LSU game did. . .

And it was all considerably more than what teams had on Newton this year.

i won't even bring up the UF game

here are TWO games from 2006 when he barely threw for 100 fricking yards

12/22 for 115 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT (PSU)
12/23 for 108 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT (Ill)

a fake run play action TD pass isn't exactly a glimpse of him running their full offense

Was it B10 bias?

D-Mac owned it that season.

I have been watching for alot longer than some of you guys.....and he isnt even close to the GOAT.

Hershel Walker toyed with guys too in the SEC. No one came close to stopping him.
Barry Sanders had a freak season at OSU.
Cam isnt even the greatest at Auburn....Bo Jackson was far more dominant than him. And I couldnt stand Bo Jackson but the dude was a machine!

Maybe not the best of all time, but I can't remember 1 player having more of an impact on a team's season than Cam.

Damn, Newton and Tebow make Frazier's #s look so fricking pedestrian.
It was the offense. It was more of a ball control offense.

Look at how many plays his numbers are based on.

Newton: 488 plays for 3998 yards. . .8.19 average per play.

Tebow: 560 for 4181. . .7.47 per play

Frazier: 290 for 2270. . .7.83 per play

Considering the style of offense, Frazier's 7.83 is at least AS impressive as Cam's.

Look at this one:

Frazier: 1 TD for every 8.53 plays he is involved in.

Newton: TD every 10.17 plays

Tebow: TD every 10.18 plays

Bo Jackson + Average team = Decent Bowl

Cam Newton + Average team = National Championship.
