What would the SEC conference be without John Calipari, Nick Saban, Bruce Pearl and Paul Finebaum ?
Boring like hell !

A little?
Him and Dukkie V went apeshite on Cuse not making the tournament.
"You're talking about the greatest conference of all-time and they beat some teams in that conference, how do they not get in?" (paraphrased from Vitale)
Bilas wasn't far behind.
Cuse was barely above .500 in the ACC.
I hate when we decide that certain conferences should only have to tread water to get in.

He's absolutely not.

Calipari is just pissed he got UCLA in bottom half of his bracket.
And then talented UNC.
And then talented UNC.

Kentucky is used to getting the worst draw of brackets, it's always something UK has to deal with.

Cal is rightfully considered slimy by non UK fans because the last 2 college programs he was the HC at were found guilty of numerous NCAA violations. To the extent both programs had their NCAA wins vacated & all playoff monies had to be returned. They were also hit with major sanctions. Cal walked because it could not be proven he knew anything about them. Rose & Camby were the 2 best h.school players in their respective years & yet, with only 12-13 players to watch over, he had no idea how Rose became eligible or that Camby was an agent's whore.Yea. Right.

Why in the blue frick would Cal want an agent talking to and whoring out Cambry?
And Rose needed his ACt score to be college eligible. He got someone to take the test for him, and he wasn't exactly going to tell schools this...

Huge UNC fan here and I've always respected how he handles his Duke association. In fact, he and Jay Williams have been VERY fair in evaluating Duke.

Was about to post similar thoughts. Cal was never shown to be in the know on these items. People seem to conveniently forget this.

No, no one forgets this as Cal brought it up all the time. A football HC is supposed to know what is going on all the time with his players & he has 85+ to worry bout. Cal had 6-7 bench coaches, a compliance staff, an educational staff, to help watch over 13 players. Are you really believing he knew nothing bout the 2 most talented & heavily recruited players on both teams? Then he is the proverbial deaf, dumb and blind HC. And he is not. He knew. At 2 schools, back to back, and he was completely innocent both times? Get real.

Everyone seems to not think Cal can mess with him in a tongue and cheek fashion...

It's called plausible deniability and the coaches and programs that are best at it make damn sure it's in place so they can say "I knew nothing about it" and to a large extent it's true....but they know.
Dale was pretty good at it too by the way. But not as good.

The ACC was "treading water" this year? I don't understand what you're saying. Are you trying to argue it wasn't stacked top to bottom this season?

Bilas will whine, call out the NCAA for not paying kids, as he cashes his check, from ESPN, who along with NCAA exploit said kids.
Jay has never found a self circle jerk, he hasn't liked. I swear he creates fake accounts on twitter to circle jerk about his book. Some of his retweets are 2 obvious as fakes.

Not the conference. Cuse.
They had some bad losses out of conference but their barely .500 in conference was deemed insurmountable inclusion.

They had a very legitimate argument for getting in over Wake. If you don't like mediocre P5 teams getting in I'm sorry. But it isn't going to change
