I'm guessing Kidd got a raise and more control, not a bad consolation prize.

Until he gets fired in 2 years because they win 25 games/year.

Money is guaranteed.

Not to mention, I don't see how the chances of him getting fired are higher in Milwaukee, to be honest.

Great, a third job will not be.

Milwaukee is awful and will be for a while. New owners arent going to like winning 20-30 games/year for too much longer.

Where do you think Brooklyn is headed in the next 2-3 seasons?

Talent wise, they may be in similar spots, but ownership in Brooklyn + not being in Milwaukee is a much better opportunity to succeed IMO.

Does Prokorov seem like the patient type of owner to you?

You just made my point. He will spend money to win.

So are you saying he isnt the coach in Milwaukee? If not, then whats the point of this thread?

easier said than done if you think about the cba.

Also, if they don't win, then what?

wtf lol.

It's a comparison. Every point you're making is really no different than if he he was in Brooklyn. There's no guarantee of a job after Milwaukee. Ok, there's no guarantee of a job if he's fired from Brooklyn in 2 seasons, either, so I don't get your point.

Kidd is going to snake his way out of the league.

This is similar to how he told Mark Cuban he was going to NY to recruit Deron Williams to Dallas and be a 20 minute backup for the remainder of his career. Instead went directly to the Knicks to sign a 3 year deal to be their starter. He never even called to say he had changed his mind and was not staying in Dallas.

As it stands now, Milwaukee has more cap space to work with for the foreseeable future. There's also less expectations for a team with two winning seasons and zero division championships in the last 13 years. Parker will be a superstar, and the Bucks have an opportunity to pull in some established talent with the money they have available. Whether or not players want to come to Milwaukee remains to be seen.

Point is, if he fricks over Drew and goes after a job with an existing head coach its going to be EXTREMELY difficult for him to get any coaching job after he is fired from Mil. If he stays in Brooklyn, say he rides it out for 3-4 more years then gets fired, there would be plenty of people who would hire him, at worst, an assistant. You said the money is guaranteed, and it is, but will likely be the very last coaching job he holds in the NBA, so he better do well.

Im sure Philly thought that when they took Evan Turner. Miami with Beasley. Detroit with Darko. Sure, he probably has a better chance of it than those guys, but its not a sure thing.

Much better prospects than what the Nets have though. Fact.
