Boxing: Rios vs Alvorado II tonight on HBO

Fight fans live for the kind of classic all-out, full throttle inside brawl delivered by Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado in their October 13 fight last year. The pair traded more wicked shots per minute of action than any fight since Micky Ward and Arturo Gatti got it on a decade ago. If not for the Pacquiao-Marquez IV fight, this would have been a nearly universal choice for 2012 Fight of the Year.

But when the bell rings, these two get down to business. Smart boxing fans won’t take a chance on missing another fight even half as good as the first Rios-Alvarado match up. It’s perfect for the casual fan too

I'll be tuned in. Should be good fight.

Next on HBO, 9:15. They probably have one other fight first.

Which sounds like will make for a more interesting fight with the prospect Crawford stepping in. I was wondering how I knew Prescott's name. He was the first to knock out Amir Khan a few years ago.

Not sure if Crawford was ready

Crawford thinks he can win fighting southpaw.

He is out boxing him, but Presscot will press him soon

Crawford has shown some skills tonight
Pretty impressive for two week notice

Crawford was impressive especially for a younger guy

Crawford looks legit.
Prescott just didn't take enough chances. He was too reliant on his power thinking he could stop it with one punch, but wasnt throwing enough punches to actually land that big one punch against the slicker boxer & defender.

I think he was expecting a run of the mill club fighter and what he ended up with was being a showcase stepping stone for a pretty impressive young fighter that was waiting on a chance

Why yes, yes they did.

They have a ton of good fights coming up. I think there will be fights on either HBO or Showtime almost every weekend for the next 2 - 3 months. I'll be at the Canelo Alvarez vs Austin Trout fight. About 15 rows from the ring, woot woot

Hope Rios turns this into another brawl

Looking forwarding to see Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler. I saw big underdog Carl Froch dominate Lucian Bute last year.
