I really wish they would go ahead and have rollins cash in. Its stupid that they basically hold the MITB case for an entire year.

No, but it can certainly exacerbate the issue.

It's still pretty weak, but it was terrible back then. I'm not sure that wasn't by design, though. Lesnar brought in a new crowd. Having him as champ helped Dana out a lot.

This is absolutely false. He got knocked out in the 1st. He didn't win a single round.

He got one takedown that didn't stick. He pushed Velasquez against the fence for a bit. He threw a couple ineffective punches the got taken down and gave up his back. Then Velasquez punished him for 2 minutes.

Video of Cain Velasquez dominating Brock Lesnar

Have you actually watched that video?

I honestly think Brock didn't like getting hit

That much was pretty obvious.

Yeah there's a thin line, but if you're a business and you want to make a bigger profit then shite allow it. Just my opinion

You didn't have to chastise me like a child. You're right I didn't see the whole fight I primarily remember the takedown and he got knocked out. Of course I saw a recording of it since I was in basic training when it happened

The thing that stuck out most to me from that fight was how shitty of a performance it was from Bruce Buffer. I think that was by far the worst fight introduction I have ever seen. He just tried way way way too hard that time.

UFC used Lesnar like a prostitute. They could've brought him along slowly, but Dana wanted the quick payday instead.

He might have been much better if he had a typical progression through the ranks. It's a testament to his raw athletic talent that he was able to do what he did. His opponents had years to train.

It was a mutually beneficial relationship between Lesnar and the UFC.

I met AJ last year in New Orleans at Comic Con and since she was robbed of the Slammy for Best Diva, I had a buddy of mine who runs a trophy company customize one for me and I gave it to her. She was smiling ear-to-ear and gave me a huge hug. She is one tasty little chick. She was literally no taller than 5 ft and my hands nearly fit around her waist. I saw Nikki Bella at this year's Comic Con and wasn't nearly as impressed -- phenomenal body but not-so-great face... a hook nose and a knob chin.

Yes, I am a dork.

Well prostitutes get paid too. I'm just saying the path he took was not in the best interests of setting the stage for a long, illustrious career. Just seemed like a money grab on UFC's part.

But if that's all Brock wanted then mission accomplished. He could've been a lot better had he been brought along slowly though.

Brock made it clear before he signed with UFC that he wanted to face the big dogs right off the bat. He said he either had "it" or he didn't. That's why he was given Mir in his 1st fight. He was the biggest draw in UFC history and Dana milked the cash cow for all he could. If Vince and HHH are smart, they'll keep the belt on Brock and turn him face. Like SCSA in the late-90s, he's just too much of a badass to boo. They can set up Brock vs. Rock for WM32 in Dallas and crush the indoor attendance record with that match headlining.
