How come he was able to pull some blue chips at cincy, had that monster class at ksu and would've had mayo if he stayed and he hasn't done squat recruting at wvu. Curious why

Some coaches get lazier as they get older.

IMO, its easier to recruit to cincy than wvu.

Because he's getting older and it's West Virginia.

I like the guy and would love to see him win a natty before he quits. He very possibly would have gotten a title the year Kenyon Martin got hurt.

Pretty unlikely to win a NC at WVU, however. I would think it would be tough to get big time players to WVU, when there are more attractive options.

Dalonte Hill is the reason he recruited so well at K State.

The recruits we have coming in next year seem to be pretty solid. Not 5 star AA's but good talent. Esa Ahmad, James 'Beetle" Bolden and JUCO SG Teyvon Myers. Should be a top 15-20 program next season.

wvu has done better recruiting than cincy the last 10 years or so.

Devin Ebanks was a 5 star and I think Kevin Jones was also.

Because he was in Cincinnati, OH. Do people not realize that Ohio is a top 8 state in the country for talent? Ohio has some unreal football and basketball talent. He could land a top 25 class every year if he just recruited the Cincinnati metro alone. Its a lot harder to do that in Morgantown, WV. Although his most talented players at WVU have all been from Ohio.

I don't remember about Alexander but he certainly recruited Ebanks, Jones, and Harris. Butler was ready to transfer follow Beilein and transfer to Michigan, but Huggins had to re-recruit him.
