Couldn't disagree more - they have been wrong about literally every prediction they have made re: Trump and Sanders. They are so in the tank for HIllary that it hurts, and if she does manage to lose CA and has the nom ripped from her, I'm sure Favreau will still somehow manage to sound like a blowhard and act like he saw it coming all the way.

Their snark is off the charts - they should be writing and podcasting for Jezebel. Liberal snark is the worst snark.

Dude you were a liberal last election cycle. Don't act like you're above any of it.

Jon Favreau sucks - I hate how in the tank Simmons Inc. is for Hillary Clinton. Why do liberals NEVER want to hear or consider the other side? Bill Maher is literally the only one.

The other side was ted Cruz, sanders and trump, let's not act like their choices were all that great

Plus both the 1600 guys worked with Hilary a good bit so it's not surprising they like her.

I'm liberal. But as others have mentioned, Cruz nor Trump are very appealing. I vote republican more than democrat in local elections. I can put aside some of the social stuff I care about in order to not elect an idiot running under the democratic ticket.

What is that, exactly? Just a sports and pop culture site? I don't listen to his podcast very much

Pretty much, except it's more pop culture than sports.

Having actually seen the site now, the layout is horrible. It is SI-level bad web design.

I think they're partners with Medium.com which is probably why it has this layout.

Frat boy demographic? Pretty sure that's Barstool Sports.

I meant they're knowledgeable in their experience with politics and election cycles. As I said, I'm not overly politically savvy so hearing them talk about certain aspects of nomination and election cycles that I'd never heard or thought of was very interesting to me.

I never said any of their predictions were right. At the same time, I don't really know anyone who's been right this period as we've had the most absurd election cycle of all-time.

wow

just read an article on there about Hillary, lol. Talk about head in the sand, up a persons arse article.

that guy is beyond ignorant, and a very hacky article, with zero facts and nothing about her incompetence as Sec of state, or fact that she had to fake an ailment(urban would be proud) so she wouldn't be fired.

I'M A LIBERAL NOW and I support liberal Republican nominee Donald Trump. Excited about wearing my #MAGA hat to Bill Maher's show on Sunday night and hopefully getting him to rip on me for wearing it.

Trump is by far the most progressive GOP nominee in at least 3 generations. I don't get the hate on him from the left - it's more reactionary and fear-based than fact-based. He breaks the paradigm; maybe permanently. I think that's what upsets the loyal left more than his negotiating position on the border wall or Islam. They can't afford to see a right-leaning nationalist party start to bloom because then the 50-year victory that they thought they were poised to enjoy may never happen.

Ask yourself this - if Glenn Beck, Jeb Bush, Bill Kristol and Johan Goldberg all HATE Donald Trump for political reasons, isn't is strange that many liberals ALSO hate Trump?

Trump's right-leaning European nationalism is the only possible future of the GOP. Otherwise the GOP will become what the Tories are in the UK - a watered down version of the Dems (or Labour) and some horrible evangelical Tea-Party bullshite will rise and splinter the right into irrelevancy.

The design is probably going to get some hate but I'll take it over some of the shite some of the other major with 50 videos going off at the same time as soon as the page loads and all the other BS.

Lots of room to improve and that's alright for an early launch IMO.

m pretty conservative, and I like their Keeping it 1600 podcast. They clearly lean way left, but they're very knowledgeable and funny. I don't take politics overly seriously so they make the discussions lighthearted and similar to the sort of banter I'd have with a friend.

That's the feel I like from BS's podcasts. It feels like a conversation you're sitting in on. They've kept that feel in all their podcasts. I'm really excited to see the Ringer website. They hired a helluva lot of super talented people.

I agree, I know absolutely zilch about politics and honestly think it's boring but that Keepin it 1600 podcast is really fascinating. I'd recommend the episode they recount the day of the Bin Laden capture/killing. The behind the scenes stuff was really interesting to listen to.
