Butch Davis just went to FIU, poor guy had the most talented team of all time and chose to go to the browns and is now at FIU. The guy was an up and coming guru in 1999 and this is how far he's fallen? Truly a horror story and its incredible that the architect, well co-architect with Nevin Shapiro, of the greatest football team of all time at the U is now going to be coaching FIU 16 years later. I wanted to see if any other big time coaches ended up in shite situations later in their career, off the top of my head Larry Brown going from the NBA finals to coaching SMU bball is up there and to a smaller scale an ex NBA coach like Dunleavy who had multiple NBA gigs ending up at Tulane basketball.
So what are your big coaches with terrible jobs.

Yeah but he's really old. That being said I do think he's a good coach but power 5 programs probably weren't beating down his door.
Howard Schnellenberger (sp?) coach at FAU for a little while. That's a pretty big coaching name.

Dunleavy isn't even that old, I think he's early 60s. He just looks like shite for some reason.
But I was kinda shocked to see that he was Tulane's coach.
Billy Gillespie might be the answer to the op question

Lol they went to the Final Four or Elite Eight or last year and then immediately got all their wins vacated for playing an I eligible player who had declared for the draft

Yeah when I saw him the other night for the unc game he looked at least 75. I didn't even think it was him so I googled him to be sure.
