Beth Mowin was she good on Monday Night Football

Her voice sucked when she was doing MAC and big east football games...it still sucks now. Has nothing to do with her being a woman and everything to do with it sounding like nails on a chalkboard.

Why is it that a lot of the female broadcasters have husky (and I don't mean in a sexy way) voices? It just doesn't work in a broadcast booth. They just sound like dikey former softball players.

She sucked but probably was the best on on the broadcast team that night.

Agreed. It was a bottom of the barrel type broadcast team that you would expect to hear doing FIU vs Prarie View, not the MNF game. Athough, in fairness, Berman considerably lowered the bar for that west coast doubleheader game when he was doing it so it wasn't shocking

Part of commentating is letting the fans feel of what's going on a particular play i.e, big plays, big hits, turnovers. She doesn't have the voice for that.

People don't want to speak out against her bc she's a woman and that would appear to be anti progressive. But as a football announcer, she's not good at the job. She just happens to be a woman.

She's way better than the shite we get for Saints games when they are losing.

Yeah I think her call is good enough. She's not good or really bad. Her voice is just grating to me in a job that requires her to speak for 4 hours.
