Best Player in the NBA right now

So me and my friends are arguing about the best player right NOW. Who ya got? We have a couple different answers, but even the Lebron haters say they'd choose him first out of everyone right now

How can u have a different answers if the people who don't like Lebron say he is #1.
Unless the people who like Lebron are picking someone else in which case doesn't that make them the Lebron Haters and vice versa

I personally think it is Lebron but other people are making arguments for other people (Kobe and Dirk). Then they say if they could pick anyone they would pick Lebron which contradicts their own argument.

LeBron isn't the best player on his own damn team.
At this point, I don't really think there is a clear cut best player. LeBron is the best athlete in the NBA, but outside of his passing, none of his skills are really that impressive (relatively-speaking). Dwight Howard is the most dominant at his position, but he really isn't that great of a center (historically speaking) and the position is at it's worst level talent wise in decades. There are about 4-5 elite points that, for argument sakes, are on more or less even footing.
Durant and Griffin will be the new Bird-Magic, minus the personal rivalry.
