im not going to post this on the rant, but LSU fans are going to be so disappointed when he doesnt average 25ppg, and averages something like 15-17 but facilitates for his teammates, making them better. Can't wait to watch him play. But they gon be mad when he doesnt take over games with his scoring

i watched him a bit in the national tournament last month or whenever that was. he was fantastic, even though he wasn't scoring much. very much a lebron-type get everyone involved before he gets his. he will probably be a second half scorer. i agree, the rant will call him a bust after the first 3 games of the season, guaranteed. but that's to be expected.

So basically, the rant is going to do rant things.

@Russ_Steinberg: Non-JCDH note: Ben Simmons was dominant. Looked better than anyone, even Harden.

This tweet is just stupid. Simmons is a phenomenal talent and I hope he does great things for LSU and is the first overall pick next year.

For anyone to think that any of the pros were trying any more than 50% effort against a bunch of prep stars at a camp for prep stars is just stupid.

You don't have to be a good defender to guard AD in the post. He does his work from the elbow he hasn't shown much of any back to the basket game in the NBA.

Anyway, I'm sure Simmons is going to be fantastic. I do see some Lebron qualities in his game (not saying he's going to be Lebron).

But I'm also pretty sure Harden and Davis weren't giving it their all. Both are ultra-elite players and could take any kid out of HS to school if they really wanted to.

mehhhhh.

Not every LSU fan can be defined by the hysterical oblivious Rantard.

Would we like to see Ben absolutely dominate CBB? Who wouldn't? But will we be disappointed if he isn't averaging a triple double as long as we are winning? No.

Winning will define his legacy here. The team will have the most talent it's had since Shaq/Chris/Stanley next year. Tiger fans are hungry for basketball relevancy and most are hoping and assuming, if only just for one year, Ben can give us that.

I mean these tweets are going to make their rounds of course but lets be honest.

I watched Simmons in those high school games that were on ESPN or ESPNU a few months back and he looked pretty good. He certainly didn't look like an NBA All-Star, much less an NBA 1st teamer.

Simmons is not better than Lebron was at the same age, and LBJ wasn't a top 5 player his rookie year in the NBA

You know, you could come in and say exactly what I was going to say, in that its extremely doubtful that Harden and Davis were giving it their all, but you have to troll. You just can't help yourself.

????

I was going to come in and say that Harden and Davis probably weren't trying that hard. They are both elite players.

Sure you can. It is possible not be disingenuous for 2 seconds. If it was you I wouldn't have cared. But dude can never post anything without it being a troll.

More than fairly obvi that Harden was taking it easy and Davis and Simmons were going all out.

To be fair, it's debatable right now if Harden or Davis is better.

No, it's actually not.
