Baylor and the Longhorns are fuct!!!

Baylor with only one commit.

Oklahoma was the only team in the Big 12 to finish in the top 30 by ESPN's ranking. UT did not sign any of the top 10 players out of the state of Texas.

That's amazing when you think about what they used to do.... Seems like when Mack had it rolling they would be signing classes of hs seniors and would already have 90% of the next years class committed, and 75% of the class after that ready to commit... Which ultimately led to where they are now, because of how many recruits were flops due to a combo of not growing much after their sophomore hs season, poor development, and poor coaching... Crazy to think how far they've fallen since that national championship game where Colt McCoy got knocked out early.

A lot of people say this (and I understand their point), but if you look at the map of baylor 2017 signees, then it makes more sense. A lot of these kids come from the Dallas, Austin, and Houston areas. Playing in Waco lets their parents go to home games, spring games, and several away games (Austin, Fort Worth, Arlington, and others) easily.

Bump

The only player that stayed committed to Baylor back then is still playing and having a great season. Talk about a bizarre experience for that kid. Baylor is on their 4th coach since he committed.

Not really odd at all given that the current Baylor head football coach is in the discussion for LSU's head coaching vacancy. According to many he can't recruit, and he's coaching Matt Rhule's players whilst winning this season.

Jalen Pitre.

And I haven’t really been sitting on this thread. I just reminder Baylor only having one commit being a big story and find it interesting that kid is still there after committing in 2015.

It is amazing what Rhule did. Lots of people in this thread had Baylor being done as a program (and that was a very safe guess at the time).
