U do more damage on the course when it's 90 degree rule. Most of the golfers take the same path off the cart to the ball leaving bare spots at that area by the cart path. Then most people travel more on the rough knocking down the rough.

Looks very interesting. I think you will start seeing some nice courses use this for parking areas near tees and greens. (If it works, haven't seen much research or testimonials - I just ran across this the other day).

I could see it having some environmental impact for courses. Lotta run off from cart paths, this would filter and catch any chemical run off better.
