Has anyone had any experience with Triple Crown Travel? They're a company that offers baseball vacation tour packages to 4-5 ballparks, complete with game tickets, hotel, and Cooperstown if you're in that area. I was just wondering what your experience was, how you liked them, etc. We're thinking about doing this for this summer's vacation.

TIA

I'm waiting for my kids to get older and we are going to take the train from NO to St. Louis, then to KC, then up to Chicago and fly back. might be some rental cars involved.

I know the advantage of Triple Crown Travel is that they are the ones looking through the schedules of the teams to see when seeing all those teams play at home in a week is feasible.

I've never heard of it but will definitely follow this thread because it sounds like it could be pretty cool.

We did St. Louis and Kansas City last summer on a long weekend. It was fantastic. We loved the ballparks, however it was July in Kansas City, so we were questioning the wisdom of doing a day game there. But omg, the ballpark food.....

Should try to throw in a stop at the College World Series also if you don't mind college baseball.

Same here. Ive never used Triple Crown Travel, but am taking a Cactus League trip again this year. Rented a house in Phoenix for a week. Can't wait.

Never gone through a travel agent, but several years ago I did a cross country trip and went to games in five cities. Saw the O's, Nats, Dodgers, Giants, and Rockies that summer. Overall I've been to twelve.

O's and Giants in particular were fantastic. I want to get to Fenway, PNC and Petco.

I would be interested to hear feedback on these as well. I've done a few trips with my father to the east coast and Midwest but we've always planned them ourselves.

I do my own 'baseball vacations'.

One of the best ones was in 2011-

flew NOLA to Milwaukee, caught a Brewers game, drove down to Chicago to see the Sox, then drove to Minneapolis to see the Twins, then back to Milwaukee (stayed a day/night in Madison on the way back). Aside from Chicago, had never been to any of these places. Did it in July and it was perfect.

Well I'll report back with anything I find. The company sounds great. I stumbled across them looking for something else of course. We're trying to do the Eastern trip: Boston, Yankees, Mets, Baltimore, Washington (I think) and a trip through Cooperstown. They arrange all travel between cities, hotels and get your game tickets (field level). The New York and Boston days offer enough down time that you can explore the towns a bit on your own.

I just wanted to make sure they were legit etc. But I see they have a Facebook page with happy smiling people and testimonials etc. I'll call and talk to a live person and see how I feel after that.

I've done a few of these trips on my own too and it is a headache trying to coordinate some of the logistics if you're trying to do multiple ballparks in the same trip.
