As opposed to TV. Not including watching live that's obviously the tops. Now a lot of this has to do with what broadcasters are doing the games but it's my opinion that taking in Baseball is more enjoyable on the Radio than watching on TV. Anyone else agree?

Love listening to Neil Price call Kentucky Baseball Games on the radio. I also love listening to Marty Brenaman call the Red games as well.

I can agree to an extent. I'd still prefer TV, but listening to baseball on the radio is better than any other sport on the radio. When tv isn't an option I don't mind listening to it on the radio at all.

I listen to The Cubs mostly on the radio. Pat Hughes is a great play by play guy. He lets the game breathe. Harder to have that with a TV broadcast having 3 guys in a booth jostling for air time.
I always know what is happening and I enjoy picturing the games events.

This is getting so annoying while watching football games. Commentators feel like they have to fill every second with their opinion on what's going on.

Agreed - one of the last vestiges of 1950s Americana - MLB at bat is worth ten times what I pay for it. favorite radio crews are Yankees and Blue Jays - least favorite are Astros and Brewers

Bob Uecker (Brewers) is Jim Hawthorne-calling-football level atrocious. Just awful.

Dude the #2 Astros guy is absolutely horrendous - he is like NAIA level talent. I don't find the 1-3 and 7-9th inning guy that bad

Yep he is good and the Orioles guy sounds a lot like Jon Miller as well. Tigers guys are great too.

Eta - do you think miller is happy with that gig? I much preferred him to current putz on ESPN.

I don't like Charlie Steiner for Dodgers on radio but he'll be solid when Vin retires

Radio baseball has the best announcers cause they have to fill time with stories and interesting stats/player history.

Vin Scully wouldn't fit with anything but baseball. Almost got the MLB package one year just for dodgers games.

The Rangers are blessed with Eric Nadel who's also a baseball encyclopedia from New York.

Fond memories of listening to Gene Elston & Lowell Passe call the Astros on WJBO. I still enjoy listening to the Fighting Tigers while sitting on the back deck with a cold beverage and a good cigar. There is a quote at the HOF that says "Baseball is the only game you can see on the radio".

And yes, Steve Sparks on the Astro's broadcaxt is one of the worst I have ever heard.

Really? Sterling has a good voice but god he's little sayings for players are bad. Tex message? An Abomb for Arod? Ugh.

Susan Waldman is unbearable. She may be my least favorite person to ever have any air time of any kind. She's awful. Probably the single most annoying voice in all of entertainment. I feel like the Yankees deserve so much better than those two.

She is the female version of Petros Papadakis.

It is the best of the big three on the radio but I still prefer tv. I am stuck listening to mets game on radio right now because the damn braves are blacked out in Mississippi on MLBtv

Mets are about to extend their lead to 8.5 games, magic number either 14 or 15

Mets magic number is 16. Nats lost tonight. I grew up a big Sox fan but since moving to NYC I've really really enjoyed following the Mets. Just a fun team to root for this year. Their radio guys are awesome. Howie Rose and Gary Cohen do a great job.

Yoenis just hit #15 for the mets. Dude should be the MVP. He turned this team around big time.
