I have a bad feeling we won't be seeing Wright for awhile. Seems like whatever was wrong with his shoulder over the winter didn't really heal.

Scherzer got rocked yesterday with noticeably diminished spin rates too.

You gotta love it.

If you ever want a good laugh, find Frank Fleming on twitter. His rants are hilarious. He's the "Braves never lose" guy.

Not going to the IL, they expect him to play at some point in the Orioles series.

Kyle said it's more around his back this time, I guess meaning the shoulder blade area. He said he didn't think it was anything crazy, but just didn't feel right.

So hopefully that means it's not too serious. How much rest it'll take, will remain to be seen. And as for temporary replacements, Soroka's last start was horrendous, so I don't know if he's particularly close to being able to help. Guess we're going to be seeing more of Dodd and Shuster, beyond just today.

I don't think that means anything in terms of whether he's ready to pitch in MLB or not.

if you give up 7 runs on 10 hits in 3 innings, to a AAA lineup, and not even a very good AAA lineup, at that, does that sound like his stuff or command is good enough to pitch in MLB right now?

He's established exactly zero consistency since he returned last year. Until he does, why would you call him up?

He had been very consistent until this last start.

He had some of the best Stuff+ among AAA pitchers.

It's funny how often the exact sequence of Acuna lead off on base, Olson out, Riley out, Murphy RBI has happened this season.

He had like 3 starts before this, two were okay, but short, and the third was really good. Then he had one of the worst starts of his professional career at any level. We'll have to see how he bounces back from that.

Grissom seems to either take entirely too much time to make a move toward the ball, or he moves way too fast and throws it away. I just can't imagine this dude staying at short. Whether he stays with the Braves, or ends up somewhere else, I don't see SS as his future. Never really did, but this stretch has been a reminder of that.

Also, way to hold the lead, Dodd.
