That's a terrible answer. The guy plays basketball like he's writing a textbook about playing in the post.

This is a great answer, his shot is so unique and would never work for most people

Not one player but for their style at the time, I would have to say the Fab 5.

You will never, ever see anyone dominate in rebounds the way Barkley did.
Dennis Rodman says hello.

Imagine Barry Sanders playing in the more wide open offenses of today.
Lolwut.
Barry Sanders played the bulk of his career in some variation of the run-and-shoot.

Beat me to my answer. Damn good answer & slight nod to your age?
I am a Lakers fan partially because of Jamaal Wilkes & his 'slingshot' / or beside his head release.
When I was small & weak I had to literally sling the ball from the side of my head. I was self conscious about it , but older kids encouraged me by comparing my shot to Wilkes(my shot was far more awkward & pronounced).
Was always a Wilkes/Lakers fan since then.
George Gervin finger rolls, tear drops,etc......were also unique.

does anyone else do the sammy sosa hop?
Gary Sheffield would do it on routine fly balls sometimes when he was in Atlanta.

His swing and stance qualifies him for this thread. It's amazing he made contact as much as he did with his hands moving that much throughout his swing. Let alone all the wiggling he did before the pitch.

Yup. I came here to post Griffey as well. Another is Mike Trout in that his speed/power/instincts/character are rarely seen.

Charles Tillman. He has perfected the forced fumble with a technique all his own.

Rafael Nadal
Not sure about some of these mentioned.... Tiger is good but I don't see what is unique about him

5 pages and no mention of Randy Johnson? That release and that slider were so nasty.

For someone who was a +/- 90% ft shooter, Harold Miner had the most unique pre-shot ritual by far.
