Would love for the Red Sox to trade some minor leaguers for an arm.

I expect Boston to be very active in searching for pitching. Don't be shocked if they look at Odorizzi or Archer from TB. Apparently after their huge losing streak, which ended recently, they're plotting a firesale.

Trade Teheran, Inciarte, Vizcaino, Markakis, and a couple prospects for Trout. FAP from now through 2020.

Szczur
Soler Power
Tommy the Star

Almora
Baez

I want the Red Sox to react, but not over-react. If they are going to trade any of the big 4 prospects, don't do it for some slightly above average starter.

I think Soler and LaStella will get moved.

I feel like Matt Szczur is a Joe Maddon type player, although I could see him being moved as well. I hope not though. Everyone here knows how I feel about Szczur.

Almora goes down. That's pretty easy. He's been terrible lately

The big rumors are that since this FA pitching class is extremely weak, anyone wanting an arm is going to have to overpay.

I also don't feel like the Rangers need to make any moves. Would rather not waste our prospects. If we could get a closer for a bargain I'd jump on it, though.

Starters need to get healthy and stay healthy for the first time in 3 years.

That's what I'm worried about. They have already made a piss poor decision to move Swihart from catcher for whatever reason, destroying his value and saddling us with a defensive catcher who's only value is in his premier defense that has been great, but not otherworldly.

Due to injuries and incompetence, there are holes in LF, 1st Base, Reliever, Catcher, and Two Starters.

Agreed, these are the Rangers' biggest needs at this point.

Barring Chris Sale becoming available I agree.

You can make a depth problem work. Since the season is so long (think "it's a marathon, not a sprint") I would be exploiting matchups (good or bad) as a means of keeping everyone in the lineup while keeping them fresh as well.

Huh?

Beltran .294/.333/.569
Didi .288/.319/.416
Ellsbury .272/.336/.394
Gardner .260/.368/.360

All of them are better than Castro right now offensively. Offensively 1B, C, DH, and 3B have been horrible black holes.

Pitching has been CC or Tanaka and nothing else.... Those two have combined for under a 3.00 ERA everyone else had been horrible.

Power on the corners
No scares from the starting staff, that is tiresome already.

Just need hitting. Magic worked last year, Mets have to go for it while they can IMO

U dont build around any of them.

Trade Markakis, Vizcaino

Listen to offers for Teheran and Freeman but hang onto them unless someone offers a king's ransom

The Dodger's Bullpen has surprisingly become the strength of the team. But I still don't trust them. They need an offensive upgrade at Catcher, first base and left field at the very least. But no other team will take on Gonzalez contract so we just have to hope he finds his swing again. And a good #2 starter would be nice. Ryu is making rehab starts in the minors but who knows what he'll be able to do after a year off once he gets back. All in all, its the bats that have been their problem....as usual.

it's sad we are so bad we'd have to trade half our team for one player....
I say we make a time machine, go back 2 years, and don't trade everyone with talent

Well no shite.... that is why the Yankees should trade them to a contender to add to a line-up.

Beltran is a FA and having a great offensive season and could help a team like the Rangers at DH

Ellsbury the Yankees won't trade because of the contract and injuries but he is having a good offensive year.

Gardner is still an above average defender, decent contract, can hit, can steal, and only 30 so not exactly old. Could help out a team needing a player at the top of their lineup. Say a team like the Indians who already have the pitching.

Didi is young, on a good contract, and an above average player....

But to say you like Castro and the rest suck is a bit idiotic really.
