That wouldn't get Trout.

Trade Teheran, Inciarte, Vizcaino, Markakis, and a couple prospects for Trout. FAP from now through 2020.

I'm ready for next season.

it's sad we are so bad we'd have to trade half our team for one player....

whats an even bigger kick to the nuts is that the angels wouldnt even answer the phone for that deal

Nats:

Fifth starter - Gio is horrible. Giolito might be the answer here, but is on an innings limit.

CF - worst CF in baseball. Trea Turner played CF for Syracuse last night, and that's probably the answer.

1B - Ryan Zimmerman is absolutely horrible. But he's owed a ton of money over the next three years. Nothing on the farm here either. They might just be SOL.

Closer - Papelbon blows. No good MLB options. Some good farm hands here, but you don't trust them in the playoffs.

If I'm Rizzo I trade for a Rockies OF, call up Turner at 2B and move Murphy to 1B. And I go get a closer.

He apparently jacked some ribs up while working out. They had to pop them back into place (!), and now he's just sore.

I think he misses today's start + one more. But we'll see.

Not even close, Cardinals have Pham and Kolten Wong as their everyday CF. And Wong is a 2b.

Grichuk got demoted, he was f'in horrible

I'm curious to see what moves a team like the Blue Jays, Astros, Mariners, Marlins, or Mets make... those are clubs that are going to be fighting for the WC spots apparently.

If the Marlins get another SP and a BP peice they are a very legit threat. That lineup is awesome.

Beltran is a FA and having a great offensive season and could help a team like the Rangers at DH

We aren't going to replace a guy who still has like $70 mil on his contract and has been tearing the cover off the ball as of late.

Rich Hill has already thrown 64 innings, that is the most he has thrown in a season since 2007

No way am I trusting him in the 2nd half

Yeah the SP market is soooo weak this year, outside of Teheran, Gray, and if TB decides to deal there is not a difference maker available.

He's on a 8 or 9 game hit streak.

Beltran is not an upgrade whatsoever at the DH spot for Texas and Texas adding his contract would be literally the dumbest move any team could make in the playoff race. The worst thing we could do, is add a DH and just tell Prince to frick off when he has multiple years left on his contract.

Stop trying to make the Yankees shitty players sound enticing

id be willing to buy low on hill to make him our back end guy so we dont have to keep relying on bolsinger while we wait on ryu, mccarthy, anderson and wood to get healthy again. depending on how those four come back, we may not even need to rely on him outside of giving us quality innings to eat up. id be open to making the move, even while understanding we cant be sure how he will keep pitching as he keeps piling on innings, if we can get him for a packaged centered around a prospect like ross stripling or jharel cotton instead of one centered around jose de leon or yadier alvarez or grant holmes which is what they other two will probably cost
