So he is in the 30th to 40th percentile being he is a starting qb for 1 of 32 teams.

This matters little.. I know that if I made the mistakes he has at the most crucial times at my job... I would no longer have a job...

So saying you are a top 2/3 accountant and comparing that to Romo is a joke

Why not just be Tiger Woods.

Then you have the whole world, more money, and career that lasts past the age of 35 (if you are lucky).
Some people would definitely chose to be a pro golfer, but being an NFL Qb is still looked at differently in America than anything else

Because people would prefer to be the quarterback as opposed to a golfer, generally speaking.

No. But I hate my job and don't criticize Romo.

Nope, his Employer is one of the most successful in the entire industry at making money, and he himself is a huge driver of that. So if you want to compare yourself to him using that as a standard, then maybe he is number 1 in his profession

You would rather be a QB than have a job that makes 3-5x more, that you can have for 50+ years, don't take a physical beating week in and week out, and aren't publicly criticized week in and week out?

Keep lying to yourself.

Now you're switching things up for your argument. No one mentioned making money as being part of his job. We are talking about football skill level. And peej actually has a decent point. Romo performs well a lot of times, but he does seem to mess up at crucial times. If you did that at your job, there would be consequences.

Then why not just be Ronaldo?

More money than anyone in the NFL and women all over the world, factually speaking?

or Sir Richard Branson?

or Peter Jackson?

or Jay-Z?

or a ton of execs on Wall Street?

And I would still wager that more people would want to be POTUS than an NFL QB. (no politard responses please).

Just because you are an NFL fan doesn't mean everyone envies being an NFL QB.

If I had to make a list of jobs I'd want, POTUS would be somewhere near the absolute bottom. Ain't no way I'd want that. I think more would prefer a QB, easily.

Because most Americans don't understand the fortune and fame of the elite soccer players.

I also think a lot of kids would rather be LeBron than an NFL QB.

That has nothing to do with why they would choose QB over soccer player, fwiw.

I'm not arguing that an nfl Qb is the best job out there, but it is definitely the most envied. That isn't up for debate.
