Are the STL Blues the hockey version of 2011 Cardinals - Team of destiny

Sometimes when a team reaches the playoffs, you can feel destiny attaching itself to the team.
Case in point: The 2011 St. Louis Cardinals. They didn't have the greatest regular season, but when they reached the playoffs, the team oozed with destiny. You could see the confidence in the players eyes and their mannerisms; nothing was going to stop them from winning the championship.
First, the Cards barely squeaked into the playoffs with an incredible late season winning streak. The Cards were more than 10 games back in the Wild Card race with less than a month remaining in the regular season. Somehow they pulled off the impossible (destiny).
Then, once in the playoffs, the rally squirrel happened and the media, organization, and fans ran with it.
Then the "happy flights" became the story of the playoffs.
Finally, David Freeze had one of the most incredible and historic World Series performances in Game 6 where he singlehandedly saved the Cardinals in the 9th inning with an unbelievable 2 out 2 strike bomb into right field...a ball that should've been caught but oddly the fielder misjudged the ball and jumped too early (destiny).
Are the Blues a team of destiny?
The Blues had an incredibly exciting Round 1 showdown against the Blackhawks that culminated in a dramatic Game 7 which saw a puck bounce off both goal posts and ultimately a STL victory to propel the Blues to Round 2 in front of their hometown fans.
The Blues version of the rally squirrel appeared during Game 7 in the form of a black man who goes by the social media name Tony X. Apparently this man hadn't watched professional hockey before. He live tweeted his game 7 excitement and shock regarding the violent nature of the sport - which he approved of in glorious tweets. His tweets immediately went viral. The Blues heard about this new fan and invited him to see tonight's game where he was gifted amazing seats and a brief honor in front of the fans.
The Blues happen to be winning the game 5-1 at the start of the 3rd in front of Tony X. Could Tony X be The Blues rally squirrel? Do you feel The Blues are a team of destiny?
I'm starting to think so. GO BLUES!

By destiny do you mean that they hacked the Red Wings?

I think the champion will be the winner of the caps/pens series. However I will say this: despite being a Hawks fan, being from Milwaukee I don't really care about the whole St. Louis-Chicago thing, so being a Hawk fan and watching 49 years pass between titles I can say that it's a long time coming for Blues fans. I won't actively root for the Blues, but if they pull it out it's well deserved

I would say welcome back but instead I'll just say back.

Let's all take a moment of silence for the lost seasons of continuous losing and a dreary arse venue... How will we do without...

I'm in St Louis for a couple days and went to the game. First NHL playoff game in person. Good times.

It's an awesome experience.
Haven't been able to hit many since we moved away from the area. Saw the 2014 game 2 vs Chicago though, went to 3 OT's longest playoff game in blues history, ended with our W and us driving home at 2 a.m. to get the lil one.... to make it back to Lambert for a 6 a.m. flight. Headacheeee
