Rooting for the Blues has given me an appreciation for the relationship between George Will's Cubs fandom and growing up embittered and conservative. I've been lucky as a Cardinals fan but fairly the opposite as a Blues fan.

Not as much as what I saw with the Stars against the Wild. When you have trouble against the lowest seed in the playoffs that isn't a good sign.
Also the Stars have to score lots of goals to counter their bad defense. If they don't, like last night, what you see is what you can expect.

He couldn't make the cut with the Angels. And had it not been for the Pirates 3B coming down with a serious injury he'd STILL be looking for work. Once the starter gets his job back bye bye.
At this point the only thing Freese can hope for is that Elvis touches the top of Beltre's head one too many times, Beltre kills him and gets arrested, and Freese bets on stupid JD to sign him.
