I'm still struggling to wrap my head around this. The fricking Chicago Cubs are one game away. One game that we know we can win away from GOING TO THE NLCS!

At that point, I just don't see the Mets or the Dodgers beating the Cubs 4 outta 7. I just can't see it happening.

After that? My mind's just reeling.

I was wrong about him, and I admit it. He turned it around in a big way, and it's huge for the Cubs. As I said in the game thread last night when they pulled Arrieta, until proven otherwise, I'm going to trust every call Maddon makes.

I don't think it was a right or wrong thing. Guy needed to be benched, i'm just glad he wasn't traded. Guy had no value, and for my dollar, he's way too good to be that bad. I think we're all just happy he's doing what he does. And again while it may sound silly, guy looks like he's having so much fun again.

The Cubs are better than both, but Castro or Baez might have a soul-crushing Alex Gonzalez moment in them.

Baez came damn close last night. Brought the tying run to the plate, and of course it had to be the one guy that was crushing us all day. And Castro was boneheaded with his running into the ball. In a close game that could kill us as it gets them out of a potentially big inning.

Hopefully this is a new Cubs team...too young and too loose to get caught up in all that bullshite history.

Honestly, I feel like they are, which I believe Maddon deserves a ton of credit for. I don't like the Cubs, but they have been fun to watch this season.

Wishinitwas and red are really the only decent ones off the top of my head (I know there are others but I'm drawing a blank). Mizzou and Ultimate are pretty indefensible. Completely absent when we lose and loud anal fissures when we win.

Really? I was there last night when we lost and I took my lumps. And, to be fair to me, I was a complete anal fissure during that loss.

I'm an equal opportunity anal fissure.

Probably from Houston's database
