You're voting for first and second team and you only vote for one player?
So somebody voted for Eddie Lacy over McCoy, AP, & Charles.

Okay, maybe the "joke vote" for a crappy QB is a little far fetched.
But suppose that 49 people voted for Manning, and one person AP voter based in Cincinnati (for example) decides that Andy Dalton gets his pick.
By the nature of this voting process, he AND HE ALONE gets to decide the second quarterback to make the All Pro team.
That's fricked up. Bigtime.

Why are there six safeties on the second team? Tie votes?

There appears to be some confusion on this board. For those that do not know, each voter votes for just the first team, so that means just voting for one QB. Whoever gets the most votes overall is first team and whoever gets the second most votes is second team. In the case of a tie, everyone tied gets first or second team, whichever it is. All 50 voters voted Peyton for first team. I think Brees was the second best QB in the league this year, but no voter could have honestly voted some other QB as their first team QB. They might not get to ever vote again. Sucks for Drew, I mean that honestly.
