Ed Reed is the greatest safety to ever play the game. Healthy Bob Sanders < Ed Reed

Ed Reed is tGOAT but healthy Bob Sanders had as much impact on a game as any defender to ever play the game. He's right up there with Reed and prime Polamalu in that aspect. Sanders and Sean Taylor are the biggest what ifs in the history of the position.

The 4 guys I mentioned are without a doubt the 4 horseman of that generation of safeties

That's a funny way to spell Ed Reed.

Listed 5'8" but people say more like 5'7".

He was a low 3* RB with no real D-1 offers before Kirk Ferentz took a chance on him.
Another one of his teammates from both Indianapolis and Iowa, Dallas Clark, came to Iowa as a walk-on LB who played 7 man ball in South Dakota.

Basically, Kirk Ferentz's ability to scout and develop talent won Indianapolis a Super Bowl.

Speaking of hitting like a freight train...Chuck Cecil. Sports Illustrated even questioned, back in 1993, if he was "too vicious for the NFL?"

7 man? damn, i know in texas we had 6 man.

hope tyrann doesn't end up out of the league too soon a la sanders. he's already had a couple serious injuries and the style of play is similar.
