re: Anyone else think that Hinkie may run the risk of devaluing his biggest assets?

So let's re-visit this. They've been stuck in a perpetual tank for Embiid who still hasn't played and Noel + Okafor...
Still a genius?

I got off the Hinkie train when he dumped Williams and McDaniel. He just keeps acquiring picks and it doesn't make that much sense anymore. Especially when there isn't that much to show for it. He isn't done yet though. He has tons of picks still, a couple of players stashed in Europe and the most salary space in the league. I just don't like tanking more than 1-2 seasons..

I'm all in with Hinkie's plan, I'd rather go hardly win for a chance to gather enough assets to win it all than win and be in 6 seed to 8 seed Hell.

If Saric isn't good and if they keep missing out on generational players then you've effectively wasted years and turned your franchise into a laughing stock for what? They're bringing in players who know that they're not supposed to win. Say what you want but psychology matters in sports and they're running the risk of ruining these guys...
How long do the owners allow Hinkie to put a team on the floor that wins 10 games a season?
Philly will have their own pick this year and aside from that they'll only get the Lakers pick if it falls out of the top-3, the Miami pick if it falls outside of the top-10, the OKC pick if it falls out of the top-15, and an opportunity to swap picks with Sacramento.
On the flip side, Boston will compete for the playoffs, therefore not generate a culture of losing, and they'll receive Brooklyn's unprotected first which is most likely going to end up in the top-3 or 5.
