You literally had to beat one person in the past to get an open shot.
You mean 2001 when the illegal defense rule was changed?

Yeah, go watch the beautiful spacing of basketball in the 1960's...

This is the equivalent of asking NFL offenses to go back to the days of no forward passes.
Opening the field/court up allows athletes to shine more now than ever. You don't have to like jacking up 40 3s a game to still appreciate what the 3-point shot brings to the table for the NBA. Guys like Westbrook are a joy to watch because of the threat of 3-point shots from his teammates. Eliminate the 3 and his style of game would be dreadful with modern defensive rules.

You listed like two guys that were back to the basket scorers and like one that maybe had the potential to be one.
??? All of them + others who I didn't mention could of been great inside scorers whether its low post back to the basket(Bynum) or more mid post face up(Beasley) both are nearly non-existent in the NBA right now

Or the game has just changed. The skill set required to be THE go to guy in an offense in the post is massive nowadays. There is too much talent at other positions.
You mean since 2001?

No one has called the spurs boring in like over 6 or 7 years
Uh, this ain't true at all
It's been a source of amusement in SA for about 5 years to see the "boring" label stick around despite the obvious change in the spurs' style of play, though.
Also, OP is stupid. Get a lot of stupid threads the closer we get to the Finals

If you don't think watching teams like the Warriors and Thunder is fun, I don't know what to tell you.
The era of the dominant post man has been over for years. There's only a few left that are even worth mentioning.
What's interesting is the parallels between this phenomenon and what's been going on in football, and to a lesser degree baseball. A bigger focus on offense (which fans love generally) and creativity on that end. What athletes are able to do these days is insane

The NBA has cut out so much of the physicality of the game.
I miss the days of late 80's and early 90's, when the Celtics, Lakers, Pistons, Bulls, and Knicks were fighting wars out there, not the pussy ball they have today.

Way to misinterpret a-hole

I have no problem with well set up 3s (i.e. 70% of Golden States offense). What i hate is when guys bring up the ball and shoot the 3 two feet behind the line with 15 seconds still on the clock without even thinking of passing.
I love watching the talented ball handlers break down guys than bursting through the lane before the help d can collapse. But when the path to the basket is cut off and they pass out to the corner for a wide open three, that is great. Think the Big 3 Celtics offense when Rondo was actually playing at an All Star level.
Hell Steve Kerr made a living out of corner 3s when his man would collapse into the post to stop Jordan. I see alot of similar stuff run by Golden State. They just focus more on getting to that 3 shot rather than taking the layup if they got it.

for years this was the claim
then they improve the quality of the game and dribbling, passing, and shooting and now it's still "and 1"
