I'm sick and tired of this being the primary factor in evaluating Luck's success or lackthereof.

Peyton Manning had 25, 15, 15, 23, and 19 interceptions in his first five years in the league (100 total). He also had 138 touchdowns over that same span of time.

For those of you counting at home, that's a touchdown to interception ratio of only 1.38:1.

Through today, Luck has 91 career passing touchdowns and 50 interceptions, or a touchdown to interception ratio of 1.82:1.

Do you see how ridiculous this argument is for a player who has only been in the league for four years? Give him some time.

He's #1 with checkdowns.

Yeah and Brady wasn't an elite QB in his first 3 years.

Manning started his career prior to the rule changes. There was a time where you could hit QBs and were allowed to touch WRs past 5 yards down the field. You were also able to make big hits and make Wrs cough balls up. Luck has played in a much more pass friendly NFL.

Lulz! 3 playoff appearances in his first 3 years with a team that was 2-14 before he arrived.

Let's completely overreact to 3 games with new personnel.

Luck has been terrible in 2015, but even Rodgers would struggle with this line.

Yup. Indy signed him some nice, fun, over-the-hill weapons but didn't think about actually protecting Luck. He's fighting for his life out there.

He is not saying Cam is better. He is saying if Cam was truly committed he could be great. The problem is, he's a goof ball.

Must be nice to play more than 1/3 of your games every year against the Titans, Jaguars, and Texans.

If luck wasn't in the Afc south he would be called a bust by now (which I would disagree with). He is a good qb but he is what 17-2 against the worst division in football and 16-17 against everyone else.

Its a push between he and Cam. Cam has a higher ceiling, but will never reach it.
The thing is, at least Andrew Luck has weapons...

Indy and Carolina both have terrible lines, Jonathan Stewart and Frank Gore are basically a wash, but Andrew Luck has much, much better weapons out wide. Donte Moncrief, Andre Johnson TY Hilton and Phillip Dorsett are way better than Ted Ginn Jr, Philly Brown, Devin Funchess and Jerocho Cotchery.

OR, you know, the fact that he has one of the worst supporting casts in the NFL.

People love to hate on Cam when he never had nearly the weapons Luck has.

I agree that Luck has yet to break out, but this statement is absurd.

I don't see how it's absurd. Cam is stronger, faster, more agile.

I don't know enough to know whether Luck's ceiling is higher. I think people who do this for a living would say it is.

But, I do absolutely buy the argument that Cam has the higher ceiling on physical attributes. Cam Newton is the elite of the elite when it comes to raw talent of US pro athletes. Physically, he has no ceiling.

And he hasn't even been able to play with a good, or even average, supporting cast.

Ted Ginn Jr, Philly Brown and Jericho Cotchery are his top 3 wide receivers for crying out loud...and Greg Olsen is BY FAR is #1 target.
