I think you are trying to make a Left Eye joke, but that was Andre Rison, not Reed

What's funny about Tebow is the reason that some people don't like him is the same reason that those who do like him, like him.

Andre Reed was overrated FWIW, stats didn't deserve to be in the hall of fame.

Andre Reed sho is angry.

quote:

And that includes former Bills wide receiver and 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Andre Reed.

"Man, f--- Bon Jovi! You might as well just take this city, throw it in the river, and let it go down Niagara Falls," Reed told New York Magazine, via ESPN.com, which notes that Reed's comments were apparently part of a conversation with the co-founders of the "Buffalo Fan Alliance," a group that wants to keep the Bills in Buffalo.

"Now, I ain't gonna lie to you," Reed added. "One year I went up to Toronto, and man, I had a good-arse time up there."

More than likely

Anyone want to guess the odds that Reed would say something like this if JFF was black?

Spot fricking on. It's hilarious how righteous people are about JFF. Fact is, he's living a 21-22 year old dude's dream right now. He's banging models, making millions, doing lines in a Vegas bathroom, and will probably start for an NFL team at some point this season

He ain't making millions. Probably never will.

It's pretty damn funny how ppl ITT are shocked that ex-NFL players don't like unproven hype machines like Manziel.

NFL players, especially from Reed's generation and before, had to prove their worth before getting their asses kissed. NFL players are kind of cultish when it comes to their values (playing hurt, respecting the shield, rookie treatment, the brotherhood of NFL players, etc)

Johnny hasn't done anything yet and the majority go the ex-players are likely scoffing at the hype machine. I'm stunned ppl refuse to try to understand the opposite viewpoint

This is Tebow 2.0...this will happen about every two years for the rest of our lives.

I think he's much better than Tebow.

Irrelevant...almost every two years, we will have a white, young, gun slinging option QB rammed down our throat until we are sick to our stomachs.

I don't recall JFF doing anything to get out of sorts about. It's becoming fashionable to dump on the guy for having the audacity as a Heisman Trophy winner to slay bitches and gamble after dismantling OU in the Cotton Bowl and for having a good time and causing no particular harm to anyone. I've seen guys who acted worse after cashing their Pell Grant check than Johnny has done. But wait we want everyone to say the same clichéd lines, have false humility and be as boring and bitter as some over the hill four time loser.

This.

I really don't get all the outrage. Young rich athlete likes to party. Shocking!! Who the frick cares.
It's all contrived BS. Not really sure what the media agenda is. But when the same media that's slamming JFF basically tries to avoid the ray rice story and even in some cases tries to defend him, then it really makes one wonder what the frick is going on.

I agree that some overreact about Johnny's antics, but I think people are mostly anti-JFF because of what I mentioned before, he's been forced upon us since his A&M days. Was some of it warranted? Sure...But it gets tired. Same with Tebowmania. People just got sick of it.

I didn't much care for draft day when they made it all about Manziel. It kind of took away from other players being able to share their big moment
