Brady was barely average today. He was 14 of 24 for 122 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. He has been awful this year without Gronkowski. Pats are graced with the greatest coach in NFL history and Brady is the biggest beneficiary of all time as a result of it. Is he still a top 5 QB? Certainly. But he has been very far from lights out this year, throwing interceptions to end a number of games and looking pretty bad for much of the season.

Yards don't win football games.

Give Peyton Manning Brady's receiving corps and I doubt he'd do a whole heck of a lot better. Brady has been getting the ball to his receivers this year, they just have concrete where their hands should be.

It's amazing how Brady always seems to get all of the credit and none of the blame

This isn't accurate according to sites that chart accuracy like PFF and footballoutsiders

Brady has missed a lot of passes this year. I don't know how you can doubt this. Yes his numbers would be a lot better with Manning's receivers, but I highly doubt it would be anywhere near Manning's numbers. Brady has just been off this year. He'll probably bounce back next year, or he could on the decline. But I give Belichick the vast majority of the credit for their success. That dude is a football god.

But, losing Wilfork has clearly changed this defense.

Once?

This is one of Bradys finest years given all the circumstances.

He had a rough start to the year but has been on fire since Gronk came back (and even still after gronk was hurt again).

His numbers look bad today because they didnt need them too, the Pats ran the ball extremely effectively in the rain

What's to blame? His team is 12-4 and champions of their division. Has Brady had a sub-par season? Yeah. Is the talent around him a factor in that? Probably. Yet Brady still engineered several last minute drives this season that led to his team coming out on top. Not only that, but 2 or 3 of the games they lost this year were games they almost won at the end.

The Patriots have an average offense, a below average defense, and yet still managed to beat some pretty good teams on their way to a 12-win season.

Patriots drop rate is only slightly higher than the Broncos. Both are in the top 3 in total drops this year. Welker drops balls in Denver the same way he did in Foxboro.

What is their to blame for a 12-4 team decimated by injuries?

I hate the Pats* as much as anyone, but the schedule is determined by a formula. It's not possible to set the table.

shite just goes their way year in and year out. Luckiest team in the league. The fact they play in the AFC East doesn't hurt either.
