If the the Pels average 50 wins which they are definitely capable he would be over 0.500 in two seasons.

I don't know how people can be critical of people being upset over this hire.
Objectively, it's a shitty hire. He's coached as a HC 12 years and has been to the playoffs twice. That's absolutely fricking awful. I don't want to hear about his team's. He had chances. Good head coaches succeed given that kind of chance. Period.
That being said, I'm going to give him a chance. He is a good assistant coach. Maybe he has learned from Doc and Kerr.
