Why is Trout's WAR so much higher?

Much higher on base percentage. Much better defender. Much better base runner.

Also the majority of Trout’s career was spent in a lower offensive environment

Trout leads in Runs Created, but the margin is much closer.

Belle has a negative value in fielding and baserunning.

he has a 31 point lead in wRC+

That's significant to put it mildly. That's the difference between Corbin Carroll and Nico Hoerner

Lol here we go with this bullshite again

Yea Albert belle is comparable in every traditional stat you can think of but in these made up baloney bullshite stats Mike trout blows him out of the water when you can just add a plus to a stat and create it out of thin air

Mike trout is just a good player. Nothing first ballot great about the guy

Trout is way over rated. He can have all the war this spin rate that blah blah blah. He stays hurt and his teams suck. Albert Belle was just as good if not better than him. He won't get in because it's a popularity contest. Sports writers think they are the all mighty judge of all things baseball.

Lol. I'm a Braves fan my entire life and my post was about the 1995 Indians team.

I appreciate the niche baseball stats like OPS+ and xFIP, but I think that once you retire they cease to matter. If a guy "gets lucky" and has a career ERA that's lower than his xFIP, then hey... his good luck helped get him into Cooperstown. The nerds just have to accept it.

What’s the comparison defensively? I have no idea I am asking anyone who knows them both.

if Jeter played in Anaheim you’d barely know his name

Trout’s made 11 All Star Games
Belle made 5.

Not really a close comparison

All-Stars all over the field. Put Trout on the 90's Indians and Belle on the today's Angels what do you think their stats look like?

It's not really a question

You can't do that as that is a fictional situation.

Let's just make up some stuff in our heads.
