Before the BCS CG it was Arkansas and?
The 2nd best SEC team they beat was 7-5 Auburn. Their best OOC was Penn State.

In the final poll, their only regular season win over a team in the final poll was Arkansas. Penn St was unranked, though ranked at the time of the game. They did not play either UGa or USC, the two ranked team in the East, and no other team in the Wst finished the season ranked aside from LSU, to whom Bama lost.
So, the point stands. Ohio St, also, beat TWO ranked teams last year prior to the playoffs: Sparty and Wisconsin. Ohio St beat more ranked team en route to getting a bid to the playoffs in 2014 than Bama did in 2011.

I can understand LSU not giving a shite about the Music City Bowl but that doesn't fly for Alabama/Miss St/Ole Miss.

If you use the final regular season poll, Penn State is ranked. If you use the final poll (after bowl games), then Bama can count LSU. I think that's his point...
