Scherzer's metrics compare nicely with pretty much all the other great starters. I would put Felix as the runner-up. Scherzer still posts filthy strikeout numbers and has an excellent FIP. The win-loss record is just a cherry on top. What it really means is that he can stay in games long enough to record a decision. His eyes still freak me out though.

Cy:
1. Max
2. King
3. Yu

MVP:
1. Miggy
2. Crush
3. Max?

Wow princess. I didnt cite shite one way or the other.

Im just asking you to backup your opinions with some advanced metrics. You keep saying there are advanced metrics that prove what you are saying...wel show us damn it. Quit belittling everyone and put up or shut up. You want to lean on saber for your opinion you need to be ready to show the metrics instead of the generic shite answers you are giving.

Looking at those, Yu and Felix are more deserving than Scherzer.

You clearly aren't looking at any advanced metrics if you think Yu is more deserving. Scherzer has him beat in everything except K/9

You are an idiot for not thinking Scherzer is not an ace.

9.89 K/9
7.4 HR/FB%
2.73 ERA
2.61 FIP
3.06 xFIP
5.6 WAR
28.7% K%
.91 WHIP

GTFO.

Yu missed time due to injury and still leads the League in K's

And he should get fairly penalized for it. Scherzer was able to contribute more innings.

This is one of the reasons that Felix is such a god damn beast. He is a innings horse.

Yu has a nutty amount of strikeouts, but you would be stupid or a Rangers fan (supporting your own guy having a sick year is reasonable) to pick him over Mighty Max.

Trout is a clear 2 in the MVP race for me. Davis would be third. In fact I would argue Trout has more of a case at being number 1 than number 3.

Felix and Max are about a toss up for CY IMO.

Now this how I think it should go, not how I think it actually will go.

This is the 2013 Cy Young. I give zero fricks if his ERA was in the double digits last year or he was the worst pitcher in baseball.

Stop being a fricking moron.

You are jizzing yourself over Darvish and then you say want to cite past year, but you fail to acknowledge that Scherzer is one of the best strikeout pitchers in the game.

I am still very reluctant to trust dWAR. Trout is a phenom, but I think Miggy and Crush are clearly the top two.

Davis having such a sick power numbers and OPS just does it for me more than steals and defense.

He is an ace. He should win the Cy this year. Please go back to not posting.

Max - 5.6 WAR
Yu - 4.5 WAR

Max - 2.61 FIP
Yu - 3.05 FIP

Max - 9.89 K/9
Yu - 12.05 K/9

Max - 2.12 BB/9
Yu - 3.11 BB/9

Max - .71 HR/9
Yu - 1.07 HR/9

They pretty much split stats like tERA and ERA+

So please tell me again how the advanced metrics say Yu > Max?

WAR isn't perfect, but for the most part I think you can take a 2+ WAR lead as significant.

I would take the guy with a .425 wOBA while playing plus D at a valuable position and being third in the league in baserunning runs over a first baseman with a .442 wOBA who provides no value other than with his bat.

Davis has been amazing, but for me it is Miggy and Trout, then everyone else.

No point in arguing with you if you're going to cite a P's W/L record in your defense....

The stat is meaningless and has no reflection on how a pitcher has pitched.

Yu and Felix have been much better pitchers than both Scherzer and Sanchez this season.

Yu and Felix have better advanced metrics than Scherzer

No arguing that

Still waiting on you to produce these advanced metrics that leave no room for argument.

Are you going to respond to this request or continue to ignore it?
